Gold Vermeil: gold vermeil is a layer of solid gold over a base of sterling silver. Here at Chateau Blvd, we only use 24K solid gold over sterling silver on our gold vermeil pieces.

 

Gold Fill: Gold-Filled jewelry is a thick layer of gold mechanically bonded onto a base metal. By law, every gold-filled jewelry must contain at least 5% gold by weight to be categorized as such. It is usually safe for sensitive skin and can be worn on a regular basis.

14K Solid Gold: 

Solid Gold is usually the term used to describe pure gold, but it is usually an alloy that is used to describe the karatage of pure gold, which is usually known as 24 karat, and usually are too weak to work with for jewelry. As such, alloys are usually added to create a more structurally sound pieces, also known as solid gold.

14K solid gold, which is what we offer on certain pieces, it is safe for use as everyday jewelry and contains 14 parts solid gold and 10 parts alloys, making it a safe choice for people with metal sensitivities

 

Gold Jewelry Care

Each jewelry piece is delicate in nature and should be handled and stored carefully in an airtight container. Please use caution when applying cosmetics and perfumes, avoid contact with household chemicals.

To clean your jewelry piece, you may use a soft headed baby toothbrush with mild soap. you may also mix 2 parts mild soap with 10 parts warm water and let sit for a few minutes. Gently rinse with water and pat with a soft towel.

Please don't use tissue or any other paper-based material to clean your jewelry pieces.
